Today our baby girl turns "8". For some reason I have been crying about that ALL week! I don't know if it's b/c she is "8" or if it's b/c she is my baby and the older she gets although I know she will always be our baby....the baby is suppose to be little and she is growing up more and more everyday! These pics were taken at 6 am today when she opened up those beautiful baby blues!!!
8 years ago today we were blessed at 2:47 am with another healthy, beautiful baby girl who weighed 8lbs even! She is a gift from God and I can not thank my Lord and Savior enough for my 2 daughters that he trusted me. Payton was our 'surprise' baby b/c Madison was 10 months old when we found out we were pregnant with Payton (yep, i was on the pill). I will never forget that day b/c I was bathing Madison and while she was playing I did the test. The second I picked up that test Madison splashed the tub and laughed this lil laugh like "yep I'm getting a sister". I looked at her at smiled and then looked at the test and was happy yet overwhelmed b/c that meant I would now have 2 babies. I am one who wasn't sure i'd be able to love our first child b/c of the love that I have for my husband and then Madison came and our love for each other and her grew tremendousily and then with another baby...would Madison think we favored the baby and this n that. When we delivered Payton, yes we both cried, but I honestly cried more when Jenn and Judy brought Madison to the hospital to meet her new baby sister. Madison walked in a cute lil pink outfit my sister, Heather, gave her with her lil glasses and I remember that moment like it was yesterday...she walked in and I cried b/c it was that moment that Madison became a big sister and she climbed on the bed and kissed me with a big smile and then rubbed Payton's hand and kissed her lil head.
Payton is our clumsy, silly, blue eyed girl. Of course she is very motherly and loves to be the 'mommy' and is very lovable and sometimes seems to give out more love than she gets (and she gets a lot of love-he/he). I look at her and I se myself when I was her age, and I see her also looking like Scotty too. It's amazing how they truly are the blessing of our love.
I am very proud to have her as my daughter. She has a huge heart and loves to talk!!! She is our girl who loves to clean and will clean up their room instead of letting Madison help in order to get it done faster. I am very proud of both our daughters in so many ways, and a big one is...they get along so well. They have their lil moments, but for the most part they are wonderful and they cry for the other when one is away. They rarely fight. I love listening to their lil laughs when it's bedtime and they won't quit talking...it's truly priceless.
Payton, my beautiful, sweet, loving, caring, silly, clumsy one I love you with all my heart and I pray that you will continue to be the young lady that God desires you to become. Payton, is our clumsy child and if anyone will get hurt or fall it is our sweet Payton. She broke her nose just rolling a toy at church a couple of years ago. Last summer she fell off her bike, like many kids do and have done, but Payton needed 6 staples in her knee. She went check the mail at her grandmas and fell at the mailbox (i still don't understand this one) but she had to get 2 lil stitches in the middled of her lil bottom lip on the bottom. We just love her so much and she is the one that will just start dancing crazy in order to get you laughing and she is the first to hug and kiss you. She is one of a kind!!
You & Madison have already made my life a better one, I can not wait to see what the 2 of you become in this crazy world!! he/he
She & Madison are the very best of Scotty & I and I am so proud to raise these 2 young girls. Payton is my baby, and so on her 8th birthday, I just wanted her (and others) to know how very much I love her, how very proud I am of her and how proud & blessed I am to be her mother, friend and confidant. Payton....I love you baby girl and no matter what our future holds, never forget that you are loved. You keep God's word as a light unto your path. Always respect yourself and others. Be honest...no matter what, honesty is always the best thing. Always speak the truth in love and in the end you just be yourself and dont' change for anyone b/c you would not be your true unique self that I love and am so proud to have in my life!!I love you more than you'll ever know.
